Great news for current dishHD subscribers and for anyone looking to upgrade to HD this year! Dish Network announced they will be launching an additional satellite this Friday (3/15) which will allow them to expand their HD programming. Currently, Dish Network offers approximately 70 HD channels, but that number will increase to 100 by year's end. The addition of new HD channels will come as a result of launching 3 new satellites in 2008. Dish also plans to extend the HD local market to 100 by year's end. With all the HD channels available now, it's the perfect time to upgrade to a new HDTV.
